I have worked in the field of infrastructure economics and policy for a decade, focusing on transport infrastructure, port economics, efficiency, competition, regulation, public private partnerships (PPPs) and financing. I have worked as an independent consultant, advising governments and private firms in Europe, South Asia and Latin America and the Caribbean. I have developed my career in international organizations such as The World Bank, The European Commission and the Inter-American Development Bank. In the research arena, I have published more than 40 works in peer-review journals, book chapters, policy briefs, and a recent book on port competitiveness.
