Naveed Janjua

Dr. Naveed Janjua is an epidemiologist and senior scientist at the BC Centre for Disease Control and Clinical Assistant Professor at School of Population and Public Health, University of British Columbia. Dr. Janjua is a Medical Doctor with a Masters of Science degree in Epidemiology & Biostatistics and Doctorate in Public Health. At BCCDC, his work involves surveillance, research and policy advices. His research interest includes influenza epidemiology/immuno-epidemiology, vaccine effectiveness, hepatitis B and C epidemiology and outcomes, and socio-economic disparities in health outcomes. His work in global health includes unsafe medical injections and transmission of blood borne pathogens, socio-economic disparities in health and nutritional transition in developing countries. Dr. Janjua also teaches a graduate course on epidemiologic methods at UBC School of Population and Public Health.
