Boyana Norris



Boyana Norris is an Associate Professor at the CIS department at University of Oregon since September, 2013. Specific research areas include (1) compiler techniques for source code analysis and transformation for performance analysis and automatic differentiation (2) embeddable domain-specific languages for code generation and autotuning of scientific computations; and (3) quality of service infrastructure for scientific software (including numerical software taxonomy and automated configuration), for optimizing performance, energy use, and resilience of complex applications. Prior to 2013, Boyana was a Computer Scientist in the Mathematics and Computer Science Division of Argonne National Laboratory. Boyana received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2000.
