PhD degree in Food Science from University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, Vila Real, Portugal in 2008. Currently assistant professor at the Department of Biology and Environment, University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, Vila Real, Portugal in the field of Food Science and Oenology. Member of the Chemistry Research Centre-Vila Real, research group of Food Chemistry and Biotechnology. Research lines include wine stability, quality and aging, namely fining, phenolic compounds, polysaccharides and proteins.
