Binh P. Nguyen is currently a Senior Lecturer in Data Science at the School of Mathematics and Statistics in Victoria University of Wellington (VUW), New Zealand. Prior to joining VUW in 2018, he was a Scientist at the Institute of High Performance Computing which is under the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore. Before that, he worked as a Research Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and then as a Research Fellow in the Centre for Computational Biology, Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore. Binh received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NUS in 2012.
Binh's research interests include data science, medical image analysis and visualization, health informatics, interdisciplinary computing, and human-machine systems. He has published extensively with more than 40 papers published in international journals and conference proceedings. He has served as a program committee member for more than 40 international conferences. He is an active reviewer for a number of international journals including IEEE Transactions on Human-Machine Systems, IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics, IEEE Transactions on Mechatronics, etc. He is an Editorial Board member for journal Computers in Biology and Medicine. As of August 2018, his Publons ranking was at the 98th percentile of reviewers in Computer Science (all) on Publons.
