Xiana Bueno-Garcia is a sociologist and holds a PhD in Demography from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). She is a Marie Skłodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellow for the period 2016-2019 at Harvard University. Her past research has examined family formation processes and international migration in Spain. Currently, her research is focused on studying family and fertility patterns in postindustrial societies, particularly in Spain, and the role of gender egalitarian attitudes and behaviors in family formation. She has been affiliated to the Center for Demographic Studies (CED) in Barcelona since 2010, and she is a member of the Group for Demographic and Migration Studies (GEDEM) since 2006.
