I received my MSc Physics degree from MDU Rohtak, India in 2004 and MTech (Materials Science and Engineering) degree from IIT Kharagpur, India in 2007 and PhD degree from Leibniz-IFW Dresden/TU Chemnitz, Germany in 2013. Since then I work with Brian Gerardot at Quantum Photonics Laboratory, Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh, UK. During PhD, I investigated strain-tuning to achieve on-demand optical properties of GaAs/AlGaAs QDs and performed in-situ laser processing of Resonant Tunnelling LED to fabricate an array of nanoscale LEDs and to activate embedded InGaAs/GaAs QDs electrically. During postdoctoral period, which started in Sept. 2013, I explored both fundamental and technical aspects of QD-like emitters in 2D Materials. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor at IIT Goa in the School of Physical Sciences.
