Célia Quico is a professor and researcher at Universidade Lusófona in Portugal, having previously worked for the pay-TV operator ZON Multimédia as a project manager of digital interactive television and multimedia. Also, Célia worked as consultant for the social responsibility project “PT Escolas” for Portugal Telecom, which promoted digital literacy among Portuguese young people. In 2008, she obtained her PhD in Communication Sciences by Universidade Nova de Lisboa, with a thesis about young people in Portugal and their usage of media, internet and mobile. More recently, Celia was the coordinator of the research project ADOPT-DTV and organizer of the EuroITV 2011 conference. Currently, Celia coordinates the R&D Project IDTV-Health, leaded by Universidade Lusofona.
