Pedro R. M. Inácio (IEEE senior member) is a professor of Computer Science at the University of Beira Interior (UBI), a researcher of the Instituto de Telecomunicações and an instructor at the Cisco [email protected]
He obtained a 5-year Bs.C. degree in Mathematics/Computer Science (graduated with Good with Distinction) and a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering, in the field of Information Security, from UBI in 2005 and 2009, respectively, but the Ph.D. work was performed in the enterprise environment of Nokia Siemens Networks Portugal S.A. He was also a System Architect in the Broadband Access Business Unit at that company. He is currently the Director of the Graduate Program in Web Informatics at UBI. He is the author of 5 international patents and has published more than thirty refereed technical articles in international journals and proceedings of international conferences. His main research interests include information assurance and security, cryptography, algorithm development and optimization, and computer based simulation.
