Received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering, the M.S. degree in automatics, and the Ph.D. degree in automatics from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Manizales, Colombia, in 2006, 2009, and 2012, respectively. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Engineering, Tecnológico de Antioquia, Medellín. His research interests include nonlinear control, nonlinear dynamics of nonsmooth systems, and applications to dc–dc converters. He is a member of the research group Ingeniería de Software del Tecnológico de Antioquia (GIISTA).
