I am an Associate Professor and Senior Cancer Research UK Fellow at Warwick Medical School, UK. I completed my PhD in the Department of Pharmacology, University of Cambridge, UK and moved to Leon Lagnado's lab at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK for post-doctoral work. While here I worked on clathrin-mediated endocytosis of synaptic vesicles, but also discovered a novel mitotic function for clathrin. I started my lab as a lecturer in 2006 at the Physiological Laboratory, University of Liverpool. In 2013 I moved to University of Warwick in 2013. My group continues to work on membrane trafficking and on mitosis, two functions that are essential for eukaryotic cellular life.
