Biography

How is sound represented in human auditory cortex? Does it change following hearing impairment? My work in the field of auditory neuroscience focuses on the question how basic features of sound, such as frequency or frequency-selectivity, are represented in the human auditory cortex. In addition, I've started as a medical physicist/audiologist trainee assessing subjects' hearing ability and working on solutions to restore hearing. Working in these fields, I'm interested in changes in hearing and its mechanism or function following e.g., hearing loss and tinnitus. Experience and skills: - fMRI and EEG data analysis and methodology (including connectivity analysis [structural and functional], ASL, VBM) - Psychophysics - Statistics - Programming (Matlab & Python)
