Flavia Prodam is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Piemonte Orientale “A. Avogadro”, Novara, Italy, since 2011. She was graduated in Medicine from the University of Turin in 2001 and gained her post-graduate qualification in Endocrinology and Metabolism from the University of Turin in 2006. In 2010, she was awarded as PhD in Clinical and Experimental Medicine from University of Piemonte Orientale “A. Avogadro”. She has written more than 74 original articles and reviews that have been published in international journals and 42 book chapters. She acts as referee for several international journals, and is a contributor and associate faculty member for the Neuroendocrinology Section of F1000. She is also reviewing Editor for Journal of Endocrinological Investigation. Her research interests are the endocrine and metabolic activities of ghrelin, childhood obesity, control of GH secretion,the diagnosis of GH deficiency,genetics in hypopituitarism and short stature.
