Graduated from Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD), Portugal, in 2002. Between 2002 and 2010 performed private veterinary clinical practice in the areas of surgery and orthopedics. Obtained the PhD degree in 2017 at UTAD. Since 2010, Invited Assistant Professor of Anatomy at the Master course in Veterinary Medicine, at the Department of Animal Science from the UTAD. Member from the Centre for the Research and Technology of Agro-Environmental and Biological Sciences (CITAB), at the Biosystems Engineering group, and member of the Laboratory Animals Group. Develops her research in the areas of Anatomy and Imaging of the canine elbow, joint osteoarthritis, elbow dysplasia development, prevalence and heritability. Studied in special the autochthonous breeds Estrela mountain dog and Portuguese pointing dog.
