Biography
Marc Macià Farré (les Borges Blanques, 1983) holds a PhD in Contemporary History, is a historian at the Espai Macià, and is a professor at the University of Lleida and the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, where he teaches 20th century history, society and culture, and social movements. Author of several books and articles on the interwar period, local and cultural history, he has recently published Dictadura i democràcia. Les Borges Blanques (1923-1936) (2018), IEI: 75 anys (with Manuel Lladonosa, 2018), Història del FC Borges: 1917-2017 (with Pau Parra, 2018), or Anar al defora: Història i memòria de Llardecans (2020), among others. Member of the Research Group on National Studies and Cultural Policies (GRENPoC) of the UB, coordinates the journal HD / DH Humanitats Digitals / Digital Humanities (UB), is head of the Department of Economic, Human and Social Sciences of the Institut d’Estudis Ilerdencs (Lleida), and is a member of the Scientific and Pedagogical Advisory Council of the Consorci Memorial dels Espais de la Batalla de l’Ebre de la Generalitat de Catalunya (COMEBE).
