Yves Hsieh graduated from the School of Biological Sciences, University of Auckland, New Zealand. His final year project was supervised by Professor Philip Harris and involved the structural analysis of xyloglucans. In 2009 Yves undertakes his Ph.D. at the School of Chemistry, the University of Sydney, under the supervision of Professor Richard Payne. His Ph.D. research entailed the chemical synthesis and structural evaluation of glycopeptides and glycoproteins. Yves has completed his Ph.D. in September 2013 and moved to the University of Adelaide under the guidance of Professor Geoff Fincher. Here, he was involved in the structural and mechanistic studies of carbohydrate-processing enzymes. In 2016 he moved to KTH Sweden where he is currently an Assistant Professor in Chemical Biology within the School of Engineering Sciences in Chemistry, Biotechnology and Health and Wallenberg Wood Science Centre.
