Tim Worrall is Professor of Economics at the University of Edinburgh. He has held previous appointments at Manchester, Keele, Liverpool, Reading and Cambridge and has examining experience at Birkbeck, Birmingham, Essex, the Institute of Financial Services, ifs University College, Leicester, LSE and UCL. Educated at the University of Liverpool and Essex University, he has also worked in Canada (University of Western Ontario) and Germany (Konstanz and Kiel). He was Secretary to the Conference of Heads of University Departments of Economics, a sub-committee of the Royal Economic Society, 2007-2012 and a member of its steering group 2004-13. He is currently a member of the Scientific Committee of the Chartered Association of Business Schools Academic Journal Guide. His research is in dynamic contract theory applied to labour economics, development economics and macroeconomics. He is currently co-investigator on the ESRC funded project on the credit and labour market foundations of the macroeconomy, 2015-2020.
