Anton (Toni) Arndt conducted schooling and undergraduate studies in Australia and New Zealand. He then moved to Köln, Germany on a PhD scholarship where he spent five years writing his thesis on asymmetrical loading of the human Achilles tendon. He has been working in Sweden since 1998. First at the Karolinska Institute, where he also became associate professor, and since 2013 as full professor in biomechanics at the Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences. Apart from research interests he is interested in most sports and in particular outdoor sports and cycling.
