Ngai‐Ching Wong received his B.S. and M.Phil. degrees in mathematics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 1985 and 1987, and his Ph.D. degree in mathematics from the Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, USA, in 1991. He joined the Department of Applied Mathematics, National Sun Yat‐sen University (NSYSU), Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in 1991, and became a Full Professor in 1997. He was the Chairman of the Department of Applied Mathematics and the Director of the Research Center (Group) for Nonlinear Analysis and Optimization of NSYSU. Wong is interested in functional analysis, operator algebras/ideals/theory, linear preserver problems, fixed point theory, and optimization theory. He has joined the Editorial Boards of several journals, including Operators and Matrices, Asian‐European Journal of Mathematics, Taiwanese Journal of Mathematics, Abstract and Applied Analysis, and Linear and Multilinear Algebra.
