Professor and Head of Section for Atomic Scale Modelling and Materials with a large international network and broad knowledge of materials physics/chemistry and energy materials in general. My section specializes in integrating advanced computational modelling and experimental techniques in the design of novel materials for conversion and storage of sustainable energy. Among other things, I am an elected member of the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences (ATV) and a US-EU Frontiers of Engineering Fellow.
Specialties: Research management, DFT-level computational materials design, materials characterization, electrocatalysis, batteries and sustainable synthetic fuels.
