Pedro Serra (30/04/1969) holds an M.A. in Portuguese and English Studies from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Portugal) and a PhD. in Philology from the University of Salamanca (1997). His broader research interests cover the study of contemporary portuguese poetry and novel. Current research topics focus as well on contemporary Brazilian, Galician and Spanish poetry and novel. Author of Estampas del imperio (2012) and co-author, with Osvaldo Silvestre, of Século de Ouro. Antologia Crítica da Poesia Portuguesa do Século XX (2002). Visiting Professor at the Univ. of California-Santa Barbara (2001), and at the Unicamp (SP, Brasil; 2006 and 2013). He is also researcher of the GIE GR235 (CyL), the SDLM (Salamanca), and of the CLP (Coimbra). He served as vice-director of the Department of Modern Philology (2008-2013), where he also coordinated the Modern Philology PhD Program (2007-2012).
