I am a Research Associate in Zoology with the University of Glasgow. My research focuses on investigating the mechanisms that link environmental and climatic variations to the demography and population dynamics of top marine predators, such as seabirds and fish. Recent other research interests have concerned using evolutionary theory to fill-in for missing data on demographic rates or population trends. I am currently working on a NSF and NERC funded post-doc to develop models that examine the population dynamics of sharks, rays and tuna. The aim of this project is examine the evolutionary and ecological processes that generate biodiversity and to identify species at greatest risk of overexploitation and extinction.
