A researcher with a fascination for plants.
Since my Biology studies at the University of the Basque Country, I developed a strong interest for plant physiology and optics. My research interests brought me to the University of Helsinki in Finland, where I characterised dynamics in biochemical and biophysical mechanisms uncoupling optical data from photosynthetic gas exchange data of boreal trees.
During the latest stage of my doctoral studies, I developed a strong interest on plant conservation and biodiversity as well as science popularisation. My current research studies mechanisms to empower citizens to do small-scale ecological compensation actions in urban and peri-urban environments.
