Dr Anne Lauppe-Dunbar is a full time lecturer in Creative Writing at Swansea University, Wales. Her novel Dark Mermaids, was shortlisted for the Cross Sports Book Awards 2016. The novel tells the story of the doping scandal in the Former German Democratic Republic through a young woman’s search for home. The novel, also shortlisted for the Impress Prize in 2012, is published with Seren. She has short stories in the named Seren anthology - Sing Sorrow Sorrow, First Edition Magazine, The View from Here, Islet Magazine, The Swansea Review, of which she is co-editor, and Bristol Flash Fiction. Her poetry is published with Cinnamon Press, Leaf Books and Seventh Quarry. A number of conference papers are published with Gender Forum, the NAWE and eSharp.
Anne is co-editor of the Swansea Review.
