Soumya Kanti Datta is a research engineer in EURECOM, France and has been working on French FUI, ANR and EU H2020 research projects. His research focuses on innovation, standardization, generation of new ideas and development of next-generation technologies in Mobile Computing, Computer Security, Internet of Things and Machine-to-Machine Communication. He is an active member of IEEE Communication Society and IEEE Consumer Electronics Society. He has published more than 25 research papers in top IEEE Conferences and Journals. Soumya has served as Co-Track Chair of ICCE 2015, the flagship conference of IEEE CE Society and has organized and co-chaired several special sessions on IoT in IEEE conferences. He is also serving as TPC member and designated reviewer for several IEEE conferences. He is a frequent participant of ETSI events and regularly gives presentations on IoT at various events including ETSI. Currently he is involved in oneM2M and W3C Web of Things Interest Group.
Soumya holds a M.Sc. in Communication & Computer Security from Telecom ParisTech (EURECOM), France and a B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata, INDIA. He is fluent in Bengali, Hindi, English and have working knowledge of French.
