Daniel Barredo (Bilbao, 1981) Daniel is Senior Lecturer in Journalism and Public Opinion at the Universidad del Rosario (Colombia). He has previously taught at different universities of Ecuador, where was selected inside of the Prometeo Project, funded by the Presidency of the Republic. He is currently leading the project “Public Sphere and Citizen Participation: An Approach to the Construction of Interaction in the main Colombian Digital Media (2016)”, financed by the Big Grants Funds of the Universidad del Rosario. In addition, he is participating as an associate researcher at the international project “The Influence of the Audience on Journalistic Innovation and Participation Management: Risks and Opportunities”, funded by the Ministry of Economy of Spain. Daniel has a PhD in Journalism (2013). His thesis analysed the representation of King Juan Carlos I in the main Spanish media. The results were considered “important in its field” according to John Balmer, Director of the Centre for Research in Marketing at the Brunel University (UK).
