He graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 1979 at the Chair of Mechanical Technology II of Sapienza University of Rome, where has then collaborated until 1984 in research and educational activities related to thermomechanical design and construction of mechanical components. He continued until the 20 January 2014 at ENEA, by studying the erosion by drops and stress corrosion cracking in steam turbines, energy efficiency, cogeneration, gas/steam turbine combined cycles, mathematical optimization; by carrying out frontier research on combinatorics, cryptography, heat engines, thermodynamics, continuum thermomechanics, mathematical analysis, numerical analysis, probability and statistics; and by doing computer programming (Fortran, Visual Basic, DHTML, ASP.NET) to realize calculations, procedures and (occasionally) web pages relating the said subjects. This activity has always been completely autonomous and independent: they have always been such both the identification of the tasks and their development, with the sole limitation of not having other personal subsidies further to the salary of an ENEA employee. In January 2014 he was fired by ENEA. Many details of such dismissal may result from the documents, available in http://www.giacomo.lorenzoni.name/enea/, of the inherent legal dispute (not yet completed by final judgment); but perhaps its iniquity may be immediately evident only if is considered that its only reason has been the autonomy with which he decided to work at home or in the office, and that this autonomy persisted from 1987 to 2014, without any official objection until the 4 May 2012. He since January 2014, while being devoid of any income (and having been denied also the TFS!), has continued as always his research activity because it had considerable hope of being reinstated quickly enough. But currently this positive outcome has not yet happened and he therefore in the absence of new facts favorable will have no income until the retirement of 2021. The aforementioned injustice has been added to the pre-existing, no less iniquitous, judicial persecution documented in http://www.giacomo.lorenzoni.name/casa_vacone/ and efficaciously synthesized in http://www.giacomo.lorenzoni.name/Ricorso_alla_Corte_Europea_dei_Diritti_dellUomo. In relation to this dystopically wretched situation, inflicted by ENEA (State research body) and by a band of magistrates for murky reasons and without the respect due to law and to every human being, it is important to note that it occurred despite his absolute innocence, good will and extraordinary dedication to work.
Despite all this, he hopes to complete important research, placeable in a context of thermodynamics and continuum mechanics, which He has started in the early 90s. In fact, He has in particular the aim of prove compatible with the state of the art and validate applicatively a new theory which could be entitled “An Extremely Innovative Theory that Solves, for the First Time Without Physical Approximations, the Fundamental Problem of the Continuum Mechanics.”, which He exposed (in four articles from 1992 to 1995) in a way mostly postulatory, but whose virtually exceptional importance can be immediately highlighted only by the fact that includes a new first law of thermodynamics (which, on the basis of a new expression of its state function, constitutes a new independent condition which makes for the first time solvable with approximations of type only numeric the fundamental system of differential equations), a new expression of the second law of thermodynamics, a new law of dynamics and a new friction model. Is also notable that, for this aim, it is in an advanced stage of completion an article (entitled "A New and Independent Law of Dynamics") that describes extensively and demonstrates strictly the aforesaid new dynamic principle, and that is abundantly proven reliable the PDEs systems solver in http://www.giacomo.lorenzoni.name/peei/ whose (moreover original) mathematical basis are described in the paper "A method to numerically solve every differential analytical model", Bollettino di Matematica pura e applicata dell’Università degli Studi di Palermo, Vol. VIII, December 2015.
