I am from Green Bay, WI, and graduated from St. Norbert College with a B.S. majoring in Computer Science, Math, and Spanish. I have substantial experience from working as an independent technology consultant and as a contributor to a wide variety of open source projects, particularly AbiWord and VRPN. I graduated in December 2014 with my Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction co-majoring in Computer Science from Iowa State University, after completing research developing interaction methods that facilitate natural interaction with objects in a virtual environment. Since 2014, I have worked for Sensics, Inc., primarily leading the design and implementation of the Open-Source Virtual Reality (OSVR) software framework, as Senior Software Engineer and now as CTO - OSVR Platform.
