Kim is a Senior Lecturer in Social Policy and Housing at the University of Stirling, where she contributes to the Housing Studies Programme. Prior to joining Stirling, Kim worked for 8 years at the University of St Andrews in the School of Geography & Sustainable Development, and was also Director of the Centre for Housing Research (2014-18). Kim has an inter-disciplinary background with an MRes and PhD in Urban Studies, and an MA (Hons) in Sociology and Social Policy. She is currently one of the Managing Editors of Housing Studies, an editorial board member of Housing Theory & Society and past Chair, Secretary and Communication's Officer of the Housing Studies Association (UK Learned Society). Kim's research interests are in housing inequalities and the governance of housing, with a particular interest in young people, and low-income households and communities.
