Academic Degree overall:
•European PhD degree in Biology with specialization in Ecotoxicology and Environmental Toxicology awarded by the University of Aveiro, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Amadeu Mortágua Velho da Maia Soares and Dr. Susana Loureiro.
•Master degree in Toxicology and Ecotoxicology by the Universidade de Aveiro (PT) with a final result of 17 out of 20. The research performed was developed under the theme " The use of biomarkers in Porcellionides pruinosus as an ecotoxicological tool" and was supervised by Prof. Dr. Amadeu Mortágua Velho da Maia Soares and Dr. Susana Loureiro.
•Degree in Biology by Universidade de Aveiro (PT) with a final result of 15 out of 20 in 2008. During the study a research project was developed under the theme " The smell of fear: combined effects of Imidacloprid (Confidor®) and infochemicals from predators on Sericostoma vittatum." classified with 19 out of 20. An internship was also devolped in INIA- Instituto Nacional de Investigación y Tecnología Agraria y Alimentaria (Spain) under the theme "Ecotoxicologic Assays and Environment Risc Assessment." classified with 20 out of 20.
•3rd Place Award for the work “When memory flies away: Neurotixicity on Drosophila melanogaster” (Carlota Andrade, Vasco Pereira, Carlos Oliveira and Nuno Ferreira). X MOSTRA NACIONAL DE CIÊNCIA 30th MAY – 2nd JULY 2016, LISBON, PORTUGAL
•European PhD concluded with honor: "The content of the thesis entitled "The chemical effect in isopods: a multi-organizational assessment" in terms of originality, accuracy, innovation, extension, depth and quality of multidisciplinary work, as well as the presentation and defense made by the applicant was voted "Approved" and the thesis was considered worthy of highest honor and praise." 16th December 2014, Aveiro, Portugal
•Award to Best Contribution for the postel entitled "Biomarkers and energy reserves in isopods: the effects of long-therm exposure to dimethoate" (Nuno Ferreira, Miguel Santos, Rui Morgado, Rita Silva, Amadeu Soares and Susana Loureiro) in the international Conference "Protection of agricultural soils against joint stress of natural and anthropogenic factors" 13-16th June 2011, Pulawy, Poland.
