Kylie Budge (PhD) is a researcher, writer, educator, and project manager with extensive knowledge in the fields of art, design, education, and communication. Kylie researches the intersection between people and technology as a cultural geographer/ethnographer.
Kylie has worked in the higher education sector in both Australia and Japan. She holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne which focused on creative practice and the teaching of art and design in higher education.
Kylie is Research Theme Fellow (Urban Living & Society) at Western Sydney University researching the creative city phenomenon. She is exploring the ways in which creative producers (such as artists and designers), cultural audiences, and social media contribute to the development of such spaces and places.
