Susana Borrás is Professor of Innovation and Governance at the Department of Organization, Copenhagen Business School, Denmark. She earned her PhD degree in the European University Institute, Florence, and her Master degree at the Autonomous University Barcelona. She has substantial experience in university executive leadership, as well as leadership in non-executive boards of trustees in academic and non-academic organizations. As a researcher, her field of expertise is in public policy with particular focus on socio-technical change, research and innovation. In particular, she conducts research on the interaction between governments and innovation, and is highly interested in questions regarding decision-making, effective implementation, instrumentation, and legitimacy of innovation policy. After more than 20 years of university research experience, she has an extensive publication record in top journals and publishers. She advices regularly national governments and international organizations on issues related to her field of expertise. She is currently serving as member of the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences (Akademiet for de Tekniske Videnskaber - ATV), and in the editorial board of four international peer reviewed academic journals.
