Biography
Huanyang Chen received the B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 2005 and 2008 respectively. From 2006 to 2009, he was a Research Assistant and a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong. He was a Professor in Soochow University from 2009 to 2016 and in Xiamen University from 2016 to 2022. His research covers photonic/phononic crystals, metamaterial designs, and transformation optics/acoustics. He has authored or coauthored more than 270 papers, including review articles for Nature Photonics, Nature Materials, Nature Review Materials, Nature Review Physics. His papers have been cited for more than 14000 times, and he has an H-index of 52. His work on transformation acoustics and cloaking has been selected into the list of "best of 2008" by IOP.
