Dr. Marina Kirillova, 38, is a Researcher within the "FCT Investigator 2013" program (Starting Grant) at the CQE (ULisbon/IST, Portugal), where she started her independent research career in 2014. After graduating with honors in Chemical Engineering (2001), she initiated a doctoral program and completed a PhD in Chemistry (Oct. 2007) from the Technical Univ. of Lisbon (TULisbon/IST, Portugal), where she continued as a postdoctoral researcher (2008-2013).

60 peer-reviewed papers, 19 patents, 4 book chapters, 2 theses; 50 conference abstracts.
Dr. Kirillova is the recipient of several awards:
L'ORÉAL PORTUGAL AWARD FOR WOMEN IN SCIENCE (2008; joint initiative of L'ORÉAL, UNESCO and FCT, distinguishing women scientists);
DELLOITE / TULisbon YOUNG INVESTIGATOR AWARD (2009; highly productive researcher);
