I am professor in Physiotherapy since 2009 at School of Health, Care and Social Welfare, Mälardalen University, Västerås/Eskilstuna, Sweden.
I had my PhD (2001) at Uppsala University, Sweden with a thesis about physiotherapy management of acute and long-term whiplash associated disorders (WAD) and bio-psycho-social predictors for long-term outcome.
Couple of years before coming to Mälardalen University I worked at the Department of Neurosciences, Section of Physiotherapy, Uppsala University as a senior lecturer with teaching and research. The position also included clinical work as a physiotherapist at Akademiska Hospital, Uppsala.
My research interest is in Behavioral medicine topic within Physiotherapy framework where human behavior is integrated in the analysis and management of diseases and health problems. Intervention research with Behavioral medicine approach in various types of problems, and implementation research in health care settings are in focus of my interest areas.
