Tito Trindade is Associate Professor with “Agregação” in the Chemistry Department of the University of Aveiro (UA) and member of the Laboratory Centre for Research in Ceramics and Composite Materials (CICECO) where he has coordinated Research Line 1, until 2015. Following his PhD at Imperial College in London (1996), he returned to UA where he has implemented a research line in Nanochemistry, with a special focus on the synthesis, characterization and surface modification of nanomaterials, best known as [email protected]
Tito Trindade has been appointed for several working groups and positions related to the implementation of Nanotechnology activities which include National Contact Point for the FP6 program and Director of the Doctoral Program in Nanosciences and Nanotechnology of UA (2009-2016). He was appointed to academic management duties such as Head of Department of Chemistry Deputy (1997-1999) and Scientific Coordinator (2007-2009). He was elected President of the Inorganic Chemistry Division of Portuguese Chemical Society (2007-2009). He is currently a member of the Advisory Board of the European Journal of Inorganic Chemistry (Wiley-VCH), member of the Editorial Board of the journal Nanomaterials (MDPI) and the Director of the Chemistry Department of the University of Aveiro.
