Petar Kormushev is a Lecturer in Robotics and Computing at Imperial College London. He is also the Director of the Robot Intelligence Lab. His research interests include robot learning and machine learning algorithms in general, especially reinforcement learning for intelligent robot behavior. He holds a PhD in Computational Intelligence from Tokyo Institute of Technology, an MSc degree in Artificial Intelligence, and an MSc degree in Bio- and Medical Informatics. He has participated in many scientific projects, including European INFRAWEBS project for designing the future Semantic Web, and Japanese NEDO project for developing a common basis for next-generation robots, and four FP7 projects for advancing the state of the art in robotics and robot learning.
