2. RESEACH THEMES AND AREAS OF SCIENTIFIC INTEREST
*History and theory of ideas (Hispanic and Latin american Thought)
*Philosophy of History and Contemporary Culture (Hypermodernity).
*Member of the 'Hispanic Generations Project' (Culture, history and ideas in the Iberian and Ibero-American world). My research plan is focused in the area of Philosophy of Culture, in particular at the theme of Hispanic and Latin American Thought. I’m developing the specific nature of contemporary Latin American thought, trying to support an interculturalist and transmodern philosophy of the (ibero) American consciousness, as an alternative to the globalist post-modernity.

*2012, Doctor (Ph.D.) in Philosophy, specialization in Philosophy of Culture (FCSH /NOVA) with the thesis “Uma filosofia da cultura, prospectiva à hipermodernidade”, with the classification of Good with Distinction, unanimously (2012). Completed the curricular part with a global approval in the Seminars of History and Political Philosophy, Classical Matrices in Portuguese Culture, Ethics and Politics in Contemporary, Culture and Society, and Contemporary Culture and Space, Leisure and Society.
*2012, Instructor in Philosophy, area A32 (Secondary system), Council of Scientific-Pedagogic Service Training (CCPFC).
*1997, Master (M.A.) in Philosophy in Portugal (FL / UL) with the thesis “Liberdade e absurdo na obra de Raul Brandão”, with the final classification of Very Good, unanimously.
*1983, Degree (BA) in Philosophy (FL / UL) with the final classification of Very Acceptable.
4. WORK EXPERIENCE AND PROFESSIONAL SITUATION
*Secondary school effective teacher of Philosophy, Psicology and Sociology (since 1989). Currently teaching at Department of Humanities and Social Sciences on ESPN, Lisbon (since 2015-16).
*Administrator and author of the website 'Philosophy and Hispanic Culture' since 2014, and the blog 'Philosophy in Latin America', since 2016.
*International experience on the field of educational cooperation. Participant and collaborator in some educational institutions with european coleagues , which developed with some of them cooperation works in the domaine of Philosophy and Culture, in particular with Department of Sociology, University of Warsaw (Poland), and Department of Linguistics and Literature, Masaryk University, Brno (Czech Rep.). Participated as well at European Comenius project ('Self-expression through words, sounds and images') held in Rybnik, Poland (2004), at the ZSP V Liceum Ogólnokszta-Rybnik (Poland).

*Professional in Service in the area of Didactics of Philosophy and Educational Sciences, Open University of Lisbon (1990), with the final classification of Good.
*Attended several University Extension Courses of Scientific type (short duration), taught by the Faculty of Philosophy of the Portuguese Catholic University (1987 and 1988), Universidad Complutense de Madrid (1988) in the areas of Epistemology and Philosophy of Language, and Open University of Lisbon (1994) in the area of Modern and Contemporary Portuguese Literature, with the final classification of Good.
*Attended courses and training courses of a pedagogical type (short duration) in the areas of Evaluation, Organization and Dynamization of School Libraries and Behavior in School, by several institutions, with the final classification of Very Good (from 1990 till 1999).
