Doctor Medicina y Cirugía from Universitat Rovira i Virgili since 1995. Director of Ophthalmic Department of Ophthalmology of Hospital Universitario Sant Joan de Reus since 2000. Director of Hospital Universitario Sant Joan since nov-2014 today. Associate Professor of Ophthalmology in Universitat Rovira i Virgili since 1997, responsible of Ophthalmology in the Docent Unit of Hospital Universitario Sant Joan de Reus, as a docent realized formation to pregraduate and postgraduate students. Principal investigator of ophthalmic group in the Institut de Investigacions Sanitaries Pere Virgili [IISPV]. His main areas of research: diabetic retinopathy, telemedicine in ophthalmology and retinal images. Editorial board member of different journals including Diabetes Care. His publications include 91 indexed articles, one book about diabetic retinopathy screening by telemedicine, one book of ocular echography, and 8 book chapters. The scientific activity includes 117 communications in different national and international congresses. Expert in diabetic retinopathy and macular edema.
