My research experience and interests lie in the field of plant molecular biology and biotechnology, plant pathology and plant biostimulants. In the last 10 years my work has been focused on the modes of action of oligosaccharins from natural sources as plant biostimulants. Also, I am motivated on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying the cellular response to biostimulants in a variety of abiotic challenges. I also have extensive experience in pre- and postgraduate teaching at various universities. I am skillful in managing a team of multi-disciplinary research scientists from multiple countries in order to address research questions. Additionally, I have skills in establishing, conducting and managing a Research Center and an Academic Department, as well as conducting and participating on national and international research projects, including the supervision and direction of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
