Biography

My background is in particle physics and the study of the couplings between gauge bosons as measured from data produced by particle colliders such as LEP at CERN. I am currently a lecturer at Lancaster University and the Cockcroft Institute of Accelerator Science and Technology. My research covers the design of intense sources of gamma rays and positrons, the investigation of electromagnetic phenomena in novel structures in the context of searches for hidden-sector photons and other hypothetical particles, and the study of the depolarisation of particle bunches in intense fields.
