Mahmoud-Sami NABI is Full Professor of Economics at the University of Carthage (Tunisia) (LEGI-Tunisia Polytechnic School and FSEG Nabeul). He is research fellow of the Economic Research Forum and occupied the position of Senior Researcher Economist at the Research Division of IRTI (the Research Institute of the Islamic Development Bank Group) from June 2011 to November 2013. Prior to joining IsDB he served as Vice-Director of Sousse Business School (Tunisia) from October 2008 to May 2011. Mr. Nabi holds an Engineering Diploma from TPS, and a PhD in economics from the University of Paris I Sorbonne. He published several papers in refereed international journals under the broader theme of finance-development with focus on Islamic Economics and Finance since 2012. Mr Nabi participated to the launching of the Islamic Finance Country Reports (the joint initiative between IRTI, Thomson Reuters and CIBAFI) and served as Editor of the French version of IRTI Journal “Etudes en Economie Islamique". In 2010 he was awarded the Thomson-Reuters prize for Excellence in Economics dedicated to young researchers in Tunisia.
