Professional Summary:
Dr. Ehsan Pegah is an Assistant Professor at Department of Applied Geology in Kharazmi University. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Geophysics-Geotechnical Engineering and has the experience of three Postdoctoral courses in Geomechanics, Geophysics and Geotechnical Engineering in his academic resume. His working records introduce him as a capable specialist with direct executive and managerial responsibilities in an extensive range of different geotechnical, geological and geophysical engineering projects around the world. In general, his research activities are mainly focused on the diverse aspects of interdisciplinary studies bridging the fields of “Geotechnical Engineering” and “Geophysics”. More precisely, those are concentrated particularly on characterizing the geotechnical properties of earth materials based using on non-destructive geophysical seismic waves methods. The main motivation and ultimate objective in the roadmap of this direction is to overcome the available shortages and problematic challenges in different areas of geotechnical and geological engineering based using on a series of modern, reliable, efficient, low-cost and environmentally-friendly geophysical methods. Accordingly, he has been always trying to develop novel approaches that are of crucial importance for geotechnical and geological engineering applications by relying on combining the areas of geophysics, soil mechanics, and geotechnical engineering.
