David Sánchez Paunero was born in 1972, in Valladolid.
He has a degree in Information Science and Doctoral Candidate (Narrative Analysis) from the Pontifical University of Salamanca. Postgraduate from the IE Business School (Digital Marketing) and IESE-University of Navarra (Public Management).
In 1992 he began his professional career as a journalist specialising in political and institutional information, markets and finance working in the print media, radio and television for different media: EFE-Agency News, Antena3 News (Broadcast), El Mundo and El Norte de Castilla.
He becomes part of the communication manager in Spanish Presidency of the European Union 2002 and the Government Commissioner for the activities following the disaster of the oil tanker Prestige and
director of communication for Open University on line in Spain (UNED).
Since 2011 he has been Deputy Head of Communication of the Royal Household of His Majesty the King.
