Dr Anne Moorhead is a Lecturer in Health and Interpersonal Communication in the School of Communication at Ulster University. She is a Registered Nutritionist (RNutr), Chartered Scientist (CSci), and a Professional Member of The Institute of Clinical Research (MICR), and an Accredited Healthcare Communicator from the Association for Healthcare Communications and Marketing UK. Her research interest is in Health Communication, in particularly, communication technologies in healthcare, especially in obesity and mental health. Dr. Moorhead has led multidisciplinary national and international research projects within both of these areas, collaborating with other institutions including National University of Ireland, Galway; Maastricht University, Netherlands; Rochester University, US; and University of Colorado US. Dr Moorhead is a member on different committees, including the Executive Committee of the Association for Healthcare Communications and Marketing (AHCM) UK, member of the core research committee for the European Association for Communication in Healthcare, and Vice Chair of the Office of Research Ethics Committees for Northern Ireland, NHS Research Ethics Committee. Dr Moorhead is an editorial board member for Clinical Nursing Studies and Journal of Medical Internet Research.
