Professional Employment Career: Since September 1999 – Auxiliary Researcher, DECN, C2TN, Centro de Ciências e Tecnologias Nucleares, Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade Lisboa, Portugal. March1999 - August 1999 - Research Assistant Instituto Tecnológico e Nuclear, Sacavém, Portugal. • The main scientific activities have been developed in complementary areas of the solid state science and focused on the investigation of structure/properties correlations of selected new materials with unconventional magnetic and electrical properties such as oxides, intermetallics with d and f elements (lanthanides and/or actinides) and new multifunctional molecular-based materials (from transition metals to rare earths and actinide compounds) with unusual magnetic properties such as spin glass, spin crossover and single molecule magnetic behavior. • Responsible researcher for the Magnetic Characterization Facility (MagLab and SQUID) of the Solid State Group at DECN/IST. The magnetic measurements, by DC extraction and AC methods, are made over a wide range of magnetic fields (0 to 12 Tesla) and temperature (0.32 to 500 K) conditions.
