Aggeliki Androutsopoulou holds a Bachelor Degree in Informatics from the Athens University of Economics and Business and a Master of Science in "Technologies and Management of Information and Communication Systems" from the University of the Aegean, Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering. Currently, she is a Scientific and Research Associate in the Information Systems Laboratory at the University of the Aegean.
During her working experience in the ISL, Aggeliki has been involved in several research projects in the eGovernment and eBusiness domains. She has been the project manager of two EU funded research initiatives, coordinated by the University of the Aegean (NOMAD, PADGETS), while working as a consultant in several EU and National projects. Through her participation in the above projects, she has acquired expertise, in designing and evaluating eGovernent Information Systems, in ICT-enabled governance models for policy making and tools for on-line citizen engagement and co-creation and project management. She has also been coordinated pilot applications of innovative information systems and Web 2.0 methods in the public sector, providing advice and collaborating with Greek and European public administrations and policy makers.
Since 2015, she is an executive member of the Digital Governance Research Center (DGRC), supporting the implementation of modern approaches and methodologies in governance at local and national and international level. She is responsible for interoperability studies, process standardisation, SOA design and implementation in the Greek public sector.
She has plenty of publications in international journals and conferences in the areas of eGovernment, eParticipation and Social Media, Semantic Web and Interoperability, Policy modelling and Simulation Systems. Aggeliki was the best paper winner award in the 15th IFIP Electronic Government (EGOV) 2016 and ePart 2016 conference, with the publication entitled “Passive Expert-Sourcing for Policy Making in the European Union". During the last five years, she has been Member of the Organisng Committee of the "Samos Summit" international annual conference. She has also three years working experience in the private sector as a database administrator, data analyst and tutor.
