Francesco Lufrano is currently a Senior Scientist at CNR-ITAE of Messina, Italy. He is in the permanent staff of the Institute CNR-ITAE since 2001. His current research interest covers the research field of "energy storage and conversion" for the development of supercapacitors, batteries and fuel cells. His experiences covers basic electrochemistry, interfaces, nanostructured carbons, metal oxides and synthesis of polymer electrolytes. Since January 2011, the Dr. Lufrano is coordinator/expert for the CNR in EERA (European Energy Research Alliance) Joint Program "Energy Storage" . Moreover, since 2009 he was the responsible of a CNR research module - ET.P03.008.003 (Technologies for Electrochemical Energy Storage). He is (co)author of 45 publications in peer-reviewed journals and 16 papers in international conference proceedings. Moreover, he is also the (co)-author of 37 Italian reports for national projects and/or for industries and 60 communications at conferences. In his career has received twice (2010 and 2011) the prize "H2 Roma Energy & Mobility Research Award".
