Paolo Roseano obtained a PhD in Sociology at the University of Trieste (Italy) in 2004 with the thesis entitled "The Cyclic Construction of Ethnic Identities: The Case Study of Friuli". He obtained a PhD in linguistics at the University of Barcelona in 2012 with the thesis entitled "The Prosody of Friulian in the Framework of the Multimedia Atlas of Prosody of Romance Languages".
He was associate professor of Sociology of Ethnic Relations at University of Trieste and worked as a researcher at the International Sociology Institute of Gorizia (Italy). Since 2007 he works at the Phonetics Laboratory of the University of Barcelona. From 2008 to 2013 he has been a member of the Goup of Prosodic Studies at the University Pompeu Fabra of Barcelona.
His research interests are the prosody of Romance languages, phonology and morphology of Friulian.
