Dr. Roel Palo Anicas (born November 29, 1978), is a fully-blooded Ilocano hails from San Julian Norte in the 3rd oldest City in the Philipines - Vigan City (formerly Ciudad La Fernandina de Bigan). He is the only son of Manuel P. Anicas and Rosa A. Palo and having two (2) female siblings -Rosel and Rona.
He finished his Elementary Education in Nagsangalan Elementary School in Nagsangalan, Vigan City last March 1991 and in Ilocos Sur National High School (ISNHS)in Vigan City last March 1995 for his Secondary School. He continued his Tertiary Education in the University of Baguio in Baguio City wherein he pursued two (2) Bachelor degrees:Bachelor of Arts in English/Literature (AB Eng/Lit)and Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd)both in October 1998 graduated as Presidential Leadership Awardee and Bold text Journalism Awardee.
To further enhance and enrich his knowledge in his chosen field, he continued taking higher degree of education by pursuing his Masteral degree; and in May 2007 he successfully completed his Master of Arts in Eduction (MAEd) in Administration and Supervision in Baguio Central University in Baguio City. With his enthusiasm and interest of digging more knowledge in the field of education he then continued his studies in his Doctoral degree and satisfactorily completed his DOCTOR OF ARTS in EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT as Bene Meritus "Magna Cumlaude in March 2009 with his Dissertation entitled: "WORK MOTIVATION AND ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT OF THE PRIVATE HIGHER EDUCTION INSTITUTIONS (PHEIs) in REGION I in the University of Luzon in Dagupan City, Pangasinan - the 1st and only Autonomous Institution in Region I granted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
He is known as a passionate teacher, a dynamic researcher, a potential leader and manager and firmly guided and determined with a strong philosophies in life that “teaching is facing and dealing with competing commitments – teaching for understanding, providing sound subject matter, knowledge, and honoring students’ ideas wherein education is expected to promote democratic quality – preparing competent citizens, social efficiency, preparing productive workers, social mobility, preparing individuals who can compete successfully for social goods” , “for always believing in the pursuit of perfection; but this pursuit of perfection can only be achieve through KASH that means Knowledge, Attitude, Skills and Habits” and “to Burst forth, reach out and soar high in order to achieve the goals in life”.
